Well, after months of prevarication, staring into space and waiting hours for about five words to come out, I finally had the breakthrough that I was looking for with the Hotsos Symposium paper today. I wouldn’t say it was 12 hours solid work, but I haven’t done much else.
It’s still not actually finished of course 😉 but I’ve reached the stage where I know now that it will be – hopefully in the next day or two. As promised, I’ll stick it up on the website as soon as it’s done, mistakes and all, so that anyone who cares can have a look and say ‘yeah, but …’ or ‘no, I don’t think so’. I was going to ask a couple of people to review it but the time-scales are too unreasonable to ask, so I’ll leave it up to those who think they have some free time over the next week.
Just for once, I’ll try not to say that it’s going to be a personal disappointment (even if it is 😉).
It’s a bit much, though, isn’t it? A blog about nearly finishing? Well, when you know your boss reads your blog, maybe it’s a not-very-subtle plea for a bit more time on it this week 😉
Presentation slides? Did someone mention presentation slides?
The good side is that you are far more punctual (thanks God) in other things at work. 😉
By the way, I’ve spent this Sunday in from of the TV. 😛
